Mr. Griffis, Over the years we became friends and as we got to know each other the more my respect for you grew. Above everything else you are first and foremost a family man. You were always your own man and stood on your own two feet despite what other people thought. I will always remember how fiercely loyal you are to your friends and extremely kind and caring of anyone in the military. You are the kind of man that many people hope to be. I don't know how you and I became friends an eventually quit trying to figure it out and just enjoyed it. And enjoy it I did!!!! It is my pleasure to know you and call you friend and being selfish I will miss you and especially that goofy grin of yours. Thank You for letting me be part of your life and family.
