An Envious Relationship

was born to be an older bride. At the age of 55, I found the man my dad wanted for his daughter. Dad would say, "kimmie, I want for you an envious relationship. One that others look up to. One they can smile at." So over the years, I looked for signs in a man that would make a great relationship. My neighbor called her husband darling. Another looked at his wife with awe. I made plenty of mistakes choosing but I got my darling that also looks at me with awe.
Before I got married, its a rare thing to see an envious relationship. A man, that truly loves his wife and a wife forfilled with her choice. It was on the dance floor at the VFW in Pepperell where I saw an envious relationship. That look when a man blossoms holding his bride of many years. That couple was Gloria and Griff. A strong exterior, the lean mean fighting machine, melted, just looking at her. Gloria might not have noticed but I did. My dad taught me well to look for the signs and I was lucky enough to see a rare, envious relationship.
To Gloria, I know that man will never leave your side. He'll be there. With his always, loving heart.
